Nora Etta Green Fariss was the 5th daughter and the 8th child of Willis Scoggin Green and Mary "Mollie" Elizabeth Hastings Green. She married Tommie Turney Fariss, the 2nd son and the 2nd child of James F. and Nettie J. Fariss, on Mar 17, 1912 in Coleman, TX, Coleman Co. They had 1 son who was born and died on Mar 7, 1917 and is buried in Weinert, TX, Haskell Co. Weinert Cemetery.
Nora Etta was my maternal Great-Aunt and a sister to my grandfather, William Hosea Green.

MRS. NORA FARISS
Brownwood (RNS)--Mrs. Nora Fariss, 80, of Bangs, died at 3:25 p.m. Friday in a Bangs Nursing Home following a long illness.
Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Bangs First Baptist Church with the Rev. J. B. Chick officiating. Burial will be in the Bangs Cemetery.
She was born in Santa Anna Sept. 4, 1891. She was a member of the Bangs First Baptist Church, and had lived in Bangs since 1918. She married Tommie T. Fariss in Coleman. He died in 1951.
Survivors are one brother, Elijah Green of New Mexico; three sisters, Mrs Emma McDonald of Haskell, Mrs. Lena Ingram of Coleman and Mrs. Bessie Holland of Brownwood; a number of nieces and nephews.
