Graveside services for Essie Seagler, 89, of Lubbock, and formerly of Enochs and Idalou, will be 12:30 p.m. today in Idalou Cemetery.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Idalou with the Rev. Calvin Gray officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home of Idalou.

She died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001.

She was born Jan. 8, 1912, in Patawatami, Okla. She married Reagan Seagler on Jan. 19, 1928, in Slaton. He died in November 1988.

She was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Idalou First Baptist Church and the Woman's Missionary Union. She taught Sunday school class for 54 years.

Survivors include a son, Charles of Plainview; three daughters, JaNell Turner of Las Cruces, N.M., Sandra Herrington of Winnsboro and Nelda Lane of Midland; a brother, C.A. Smith of Tye Valley, Calif.; a sister, Vera Bartlett of Fresno, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
