Anderson Services At First Lutheran Church

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Havre for Andrew Bernard Anderson, who died Sunday in a local hospital. Mr. Anderson was 85.

Born July 3, 1870, at Whitehall, Wis., he moved with his parents to Fergus Falls, Minn. as a small child. He married Mayme Helen LaValley on March 15, 1905 at Fergus Falls and they farmed for a while at Dazey, N.D., before homesteading north of Joplin in 1910. They remained there until retirement 13 years ago, when they moved to Havre.

Mr. Anderson was a charter member of the Evangelical Lutheran church at Joplin.

Surviving are his wife at 616 Montana avenue in Havre; six sons, Clifford, Prosper, Sanford, and Morris all of Joplin; Donald and Robert of Augusta; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Mildred) Overgaard of Plentywood, and Mrs. Neil (Laura) Beatty of Great Falls; a sister, Mrs. George Kjer of Olympia, Wash.; a brother, Charles K. Anderson of Havre; and 17 grandchildren.

A memorial to Mr. Anderson's memory is being established for the Joplin Lutheran church.
