She was born near Pella, the daughter of Gysbert and Hendreka Klyn Steenhoek. She made her confession of faith at an early age and was a member of the First Reformed Church, Pella.
She is survived by a brother, Hugo of Pella; and a sister, Mrs. Jane Van Hemert of Oneye, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preced in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.
