WEST COLUMBIA - Funeral services for Willow Baltzegar Morgan, 83, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Oakwood Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Entombment will be in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Oakwood Baptist Church, Building Fund, 3520 Mineral Springs Road, Lexington, South Carolina 29073.
Mrs. Morgan was born on June 20, 1927 in Orangeburg, SC and passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011. She was a daughter of the late Addie Hughes and William Lucious Baltzegar. Mrs. Morgan was retired from the Lexington County Sheriffs Department. She was a loving mother and she dearly loved her dog, Lulu. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church.
Mrs. Morgan is survived by her son, James M. Morgan of West Columbia; daughter, Marilyn M. (Tom) Horton of Swansea; two step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James Lennon Morgan: her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
