WEST COLUMBIA - Services for James Lennon Morgan, 73, of West Columbia, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 27, 1998, at Oakwood Baptist Church, with burial in Southland Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Adult Mens II, Oakwod Baptist Church Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Caughman-Harman Funeral Homes, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Oakwood Baptist Church Organ Fund.
Mr. Morgan died Friday, July 24, 1998. Born in Greensboro, N.C., he was a son of the late James Matthew and Leonora Jackson Morgan. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church and Carolina Wrens Camping Club. Mr. Morgan retired from The Rich Plan of South Carolina.
Surviving are wife, Willow Baltzegar Morgan; daughter, Mrs. Tom (Marilyn) Horton of Swansea; son, James Matthew Morgan of West Columbia; sisters, Jewell Brown, Doris Sandling and Betty Leary, all of Durham, N.C.; three stepgrandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
