Mr. Benner was widely known in the construction business having been employed by the former Steinle-Wolfe and Ehlers companies.
Surviving are his wife, the former Nora Michael, whom he married in 1915, daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Douglas and Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Schaeffer, both of Fremont; one granddaughter; sisters, Mrs. Winifred Doll and Mrs. Fred Ehlenbeck, both of Fremont, and Mrs. Arthur Goserud, Cleveland, and a brother, Forrest, Fremont. Four brothers and one sister are deceased.
Mr. Benner was a native of Lindsey, born August 25, 1882, son of Charles and Emma Bowersox Benner. He, was a member of Trinity United Methodist church.
Friends will be received at the Keller and Son funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rev. S. W. Brandyberry will conduct funeral services Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the mortuary with burial in Oakwood cemetery.
