William Wunderlich, 88, Route 2, died at 7:55 a.m. today at Muscatine General Hospital following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Fairbanks chapel. Burial will be in the Blue Grass cemetery. Visitation will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Born Nov. 23, 1882 in Muscatine County, he was the son of Henry and Katherine Funk Wunderlich.
He married Nellie Fix Jan. 12, 1916, in Muscatine County. Mr. Wunderlich was a member of the Ziegler Memorial Lutheran Church and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a son, Harlan, Route 3; a daughter, Mrs. William (Hazel) Kock, Blue Grass; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Addie Stahl, Petersburg, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers and two sisters.
