Mrs. Theodore Abma, 85, of Sioux Center died Saturday at a Sioux Center hospital after a lengthy illness.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Reformed Church of Boyden, the Rev. Sylvester Moths officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center, under direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Abma, the former Johanna Heusinkveld, was born May 9, 1892, in Harrison, South Dakota, and was reared in the Springfield, South Dakota area. She was married March 20, 1913 in Springfield. The couple lived in Springfield, Sioux Center and Boyden. Mr. Abma died in 1942.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Gradus (Josephine) Verrips of Sioux Center, Mrs. Gary (Gladys) Verrips of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Mrs. Chester (Harriet) Sitter of Boyden; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
