Mrs Madge Mays Blake, wife of Eugene H Blake, died at 2pm yesterday in Self Memorial Hospital (Greenwood). She had been in declining health for some time and was injured last week in a fall at her home.

A daughter of the late Sampson Butler and Ella Calhoun Mays, she was a teacher at Greenwood High School before her marriage in 1920, was a member of Cateechee Club and Daffodil Garden Club and was active in work of the Presbyterian Church.

Surviving: Her husband, a brother Calhoun A Mays; 2 sisters, Mrs D G Gambrell and Miss Ella Mays all of Greenwood; a niece who was reared in the home, Mrs J Richard White of Chester
