History: In 1886, the Shalter family deeded to the trustees of the Lutheran and & Reformed congregation several acres of land on which a family cemetery was located. Originally belonging to the Beitelman family, the land had passed into the hands of the Shalters through marriage. The number of graves on the original private cemetery is unknown. Several sandstones remain on the site. Gravemarkers and inscriptions: stones predate church Beitelman Dietrich June 1709-Feb. 16, 1793 aged 83 8m; begat 2 children, survived by 1 daughter
