Obituary:

Arch Wayne Rothrock of Lewisville passed from this Earth on Thursday, August 22, 2013 after a short illness. He was a beloved husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Arch is survived by his wife (of 52 years) Brenda, daughter Kelly (Wood) and her husband Alan, son Kent and his wife Stasia, and grandson Jacob Wood. He is also survived by his brothers Terry, Lynn, and Charles, his sister Doris (Holder); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Arch was born on October 24, 1942 to the late Reuben and Vivian (Campbell) Rothrock of Lewisville. Arch was truly a people-person and enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Shacktown and loved his church family dearly. He enjoyed reading biographies and American History, woodworking, and dining out on Friday nights. His passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of his family who take comfort in remembering the laughs and fun they shared every time they were together. A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 4:00 pm at Shacktown Church of Christ Cemetery with Brother Steve McCollum and Brother Steve Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. Memorials may be made to Shacktown Church of Christ, 2605 Shacktown Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family would like to express thanks for the wonderful, compassionate care Arch received at Forsyth Medical Center. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
