Richard A. Spence, 87, of Union, died Oct. 2, 1990, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South. He was a retired millwright at E. Berghausen Chemical Co., Cincinnati. His wife, Ollie Dove Spence, died in 1977.

Survivors include sons, Lloyd Spence, Gerald Spence and Stanley Spence, all of Union; a brother, Walter Spence of Columbus, Ind.; sisters, Ada Mitchell of Lawrenceburg, Ind., Melvina Mings and Mattie Spence, both of Columbus, Ind.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 5 at Ronald B. Jones Funeral Home, Ludlow. Burial was in Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Boone County.
