Guy Bryan Johnson was the son of Harry and Virginia (Strunk) Johnson. He married Martha E. Scovil about 1918 and together they had four children: Nadine Louise (Johnson) Dixon, Lois Margaret (Johnson) Southern Stewart, Shirley Jean (Johnson) Norris and Verna Mae (Johnson) Grant Ringis. His wife, Martha, died at the age of 36 on 15 December 1932 in Lewiston, Illinois. Guy later remarried and would be buried next to his second wife, Marietta (Shotton) Kottmyer Johnson, when he died on 8 February 1976 at the age of 79.
