After an illness of several weeks, Bernard Kennebeck, an old and respected citizen of Glasgow, passed peacefully away at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at the age of 69 years.

He was borne in Germany but came to this country when a boy seven years old. He settled in Sheeps Valley, Wis., in an early day where he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Oenning. Four children were borne to them when his wife died. In 1870 he moved with his children to Glasgow and was soon thereafter married to Miss Mary Ramer [Roemer] who with their eight children survive him. Mr. Kennebeck was a good citizen and exemplary husband and father. During his years here he built up a comfortable home and lived happy and contented with his family. He leaves them in good circumstances and there can be no better monument erected to his memory than the story of his life.

His funeral will occur from St. Felix church at 10 o'clock Saturday.
