Jane Connell was born in Augusta. Her parents were Thomas Connell and Sarah Allen. She married Truman A. Young and they had four children, Hester Ann (1866-1908), Mary Jane "Minnie" (1868-1939), Alfred G. (1869-1941) and Sara Ella (1875-1950). Jane died of renal calculi in 1910.
