Mary Jane "Minnie" Young was born in 1868 to parents Truman Alpheus Young (1840-1925) and Jane Connell (1841-1910). She had a long career as a teacher. Mary Jane married late in life at the age of fifty-three. On October 08, 1921, she married William Martin Gore, a farmer in Spencerville. She died in her 71st year in 1939 and rests with her parents in Maynard Cemetery.
