The Northern Observer (Massena)- 28 May 1896- pg. 12
Yesterday occurred the funeral of Mr. P Reagan, who has been ill for some time with diabetes. There survive him, a wife and nine children. The eldest Miss Mamie, who has been teaching, went to Norwood Monday last to be excused from attending the institute on account of the serious illness of her father. Coming home, the horse became frightened, upsetting the buggy, throwing her out and badly breaking her arm.
Norwood News- 2 Jun 1896- pg. 4
The remains of Patrick Reagan, of Stockholm, were interred in the Roman Catholic Cemetery last Sunday, after suffering a long and painful illness. He was a native of Norfolk where childhood and youth were passed, and where his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and other distant relatives now reside. Mrs. Reagan with nine children survive.
Side Note- 11 kids total- Mary Anne "Mayme", Michael, Jeremiah "Judson", Frederick J, Katherine, Leo, Gertrude, Gerald, Emmett, John Paul (d. age 4), Blanche (born after his death)... Reagan/Regan- not sure why the change in spelling for some of the family.
