Boyce D. "Bud" Bollinger, 85, of Peoria died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born July 8, 1919, in Normal, a son of Ghlea W. and Gladys Peek Bollinger. He married Louise M. Bucy on September 5, 1941, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Gary (and Pam) Bollinger of Plano, Texas; one daughter, Barbara (and Bob) Breuhaus of Peoria; one brother, Robert Bollinger of Weston, Pa.; and three sisters, Lenora Poppenhager of Billings, Mo., Bildred Bollinger of Canton, and Carolyn (and Bill) Long of Rapatee.

He was preceded in death by one son, Don.

He worked for Caterpillar Inc. in Morton for 40 years before retiring in 1981.

He was a World War II Army veteran serving overseas.

He was a member of the CAT Retirees and Peoria Senior Golf associations.

Burial was in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, where military rites were conducted.
