Maquon – Carolyn J. "Hatch" Long of Maquon, died at 7:00 p.m. Sunday April 18, 2010 at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born on June 29, 1928 in Astoria to Ghlea and Gladys (Peek) Bollinger.
She married William N. Long Jr. in Astoria in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1991. Brothers Boyce and Robert Bollinger also preceded her.
Survivors include her daughter Donita (Gene) Halsey of Maquon, son Kelly (Susan Barnabee) Long of Farmington, sisters Lenora Poppenhager of Republic, MO and Mildred Bollinger of Canton, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Carolyn was a graduate of the Graham Hospital School of Nursing and practiced as a registered nurse for 47 years at Graham Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Canton, Canton Photography Club and was an avid bowler.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes.
