Born February 28, 1932 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Ross was the daughter of the late Walter O. Wood and Marie Dill Wood. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and retired from Springs Industries as cafeteria manager with over forty years of service. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and the widow of James D. Ross.
She is survived by one daughter Patricia R. Jones and her husband Terry of Chester; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, five brothers, Mark L. Wood of Albuquerque, N.M., Sam Wood of Lancaster, SC, John C. Wood of Richburg, SC and J.T. Wood of Rock Hill, SC and Lawrence Wood of Heath Springs, SC. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ross, Frank and Donald Wood and one sister, Catherine Wood.
