Life's Work/Service/Interests: Colette attended schools in Payson and graduated the top female in her class from Payson High. She was voted Miss Payson at the Harvest Days Celebration in 1953. She moved to Salt Lake City in 1956 where she worked for Mountain Bell Telephone Company. She attended night school at Westminster College and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science in 1984. Following her retirement she moved back to Payson with her husband. Not quite ready to stay at home she went to work for Utah County Crisis Line and then Skaggs American Stores. In her spare time, she volunteered at Mountain View Hospital where she received awards for volunteer of the year. After the death of her husband, she moved to Dixie Downs Resort in St. George. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, making quiet books and going out to lunch with the ladies in the park. Colette Robey Shuler, beloved mother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully Saturday July 20, 2013. She was 78.
Survived By: Her daughter, Michelle (Earl); brother, Kenneth (JoAnn) Clinger; sisters: Ada Clinger, Anne (Marv) Holmes, MaryJo (Paul) Naylor, Peggy (Cary) Zobell; brother-in-law, Paul Maestas; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
