Passed away Friday,
August 2, 2013, at the
Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House
Huntington, Cabell Co., WV.
Born June 18, 1923, near
Stiltner, Wayne Co., WV., he was a
Son of the late
Noah Adkins
and
Martha (Ramey) Adkins.
He pastored Laurel Freewill Baptist Church for nearly 36 years and was an ever faithful Christian servant.
Noah served in the US Army during WWII and was the recipient of the National Defense Medal and WWII Service Medal, European Theater.
Survivors include his
Wife of over 70 years,
Gladys Adkins, Wayne, WV; his
10 Children:
Samuel (Bobbie) Adkins,
Sandra (Mackie) Booton,
Alice (Kenny) Osburn,
James (Elizabeth) Adkins,
Pauline (Jerry) Combs,
Virginia (Jerry) Casteel,
Mollie (Paul) Craig,
Peggy (Howard) Yost,
John Adkins, and
Angela Dickerson; his
Brother:
Clyde Adkins;
2 Sisters:
Mary (Adkins) Cooper and
Janie (Adkins) Watts;
29 Grandchildren,
43 Great-Grandchildren, along with
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and his
Lifelong friend:
Harold Pelfrey.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Tuesday at
Johnson-Tiller Funeral Home

Funeral services, with Evangelist Luther Dingess officiating, will be conducted at
1:00 PM Wednesday,
August 7, 2013, at
Johnson Tiller Funeral Home

Burial will follow at
