Angeline "Angie" Balsamo, age 98, (nee Roccosanto) beloved wife of the late Dominick legendary pizza pioneers who, in 1951, founded Don & Angie's Restaurant in Glen Ellyn, died peacefully on June 14 surrounded by her family and friends. A resident of Schaumburg since 1978, she is proceeded in death by sons Charlie and Peter. She is survived by sons Lawrence "Larry" (Michelle "Shelly" (nee Pyle), Mario (Lorraine (nee Martin)); beloved brothers Nick and Frank Roccosanto; treasured granddaughters Anne, Laura, Rose, Amanda; many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her priceless four-legged angels. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 18, at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1451 Bode Rd., Schaumburg beginning with lying-in-state visitation at 11:30am until time of funeral mass at 12:30. Entombment will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Visitation will be held Monday, June 17, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Morizzo Funeral Home, 2550 Hassell Road (at Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates.
