Graveside funeral services for Joseph Wheeler Sewell Jr., 18 of Birmingham were to be conducted today at 4 pm in Elmwood Cemetery South.

The youth drowned Sunday while skiing with friends on Lake Logan Martin. The body was recovered this morning.

He was the son of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Wheeler Sewell of 44 New Country Club Road, Birmingham, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sewell of Tuscaloosa.
