"Delilah Hartley was born in Green County, Penn., June 14,1829. In 1858 She was married to Joseph Forbes. Nine children were born to them, four of whom are dead and five living. Those living are, Mrs. Eliza Scott, Mrs Amy Harris, Bernard, George and Willis Forbes. She died August 16th 1906, aged 77 years, 2 months and 2 days. Mrs. Forbes will be remembered here by her many friends, as one whose kind heart and willing hands were always ready to help in time of trouble. The interment was made in the Mound cemetery, funeral Services conducted by J.A.Alford of Tiskilwa. We offer our sympathies to the sorrowing families in their affliction."
