Funeral Saturday for Mrs. A. M. Beck

Mrs. A. M. (Regina) Beck, lifelong Remsen resident, died Wednesday, May 9, at the Orange City hospital at the age of 83. She had been in failing health for six months.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church here. Rt. Rev. Msgr. F. P. Schultes officiated, and burial was in the parish cemetery.

Regina Wenner Beck was born September 9, 1889, at Remsen, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wenner.

Her marriage to A. M. Beck took place June 30, 1915, at Remsen.

She was the last survivor of the Wenner family.

Mrs. Beck served 30 years on the Remsen Library Board, was a past Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America, and was an active member of the C. D. of A. and Christian Mothers.

Surviving are her husband, A. M. Beck of Remsen; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Rita) Martin of Alexandria, Va.; three sons, Herbert of West Des Moines, Iowa, and James and Harry of Granville; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, nine sisters, and one brother.

Pallbearers were Dick Kellen, Clarence Keffeler, Norman Treinen, Art Kellen, Gordon Homan, and Francis Tritz.

The Fisch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
