Chloe Kristena Schaugaard Hatch, 97, of Richfield, Utah died October 1, 1996 in Richfield, Utah.
She was born September 13, 1899 in Koosharem, Utah to Christian Epharaim and Juie Torgersen Schaugaard. She grew up in Koosharem which is the place she always loved. She married Leston LaMont Hatch, June 23, 1919 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death, November 19, 1963.
Chloe was an active member of the LDS Church and she served in many of the church auxiliaries. She loved to do hand work where she made many quilts and gave many them to family members. Chloe enjoyed cooking as was known as a good cook. She raised beautiful vegetables and flower gardens.
She is survived by three sons: Blaine Lavoy and AnnaDean Hatch, Midvale, Utah; Gwendon and NaDean Hatch, Larry and Ginger Hatch, both of Layton, Utah; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ilene and Gilbert Hatch, Koosharem, Utah; Julane Pons, Provo, Utah. Preceded in death by three daughters: LaVieve, Margie, and Cleone, husband, parents, and four sisters and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 5, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 50 So. 100 West in Richfield, Utah where friends may call on Friday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m to 10:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
