Mrs. Sarah A. Fuqua
Services will be at 3 pm Thursday at the McMichael memorial home for Mrs. Sarah A. Fuqua, 76, who died unexpectedly Sunday at her home, 427 Topeka.
She had been in poor health for several weeks.
Mrs. Fuqua was born December 30, 1876, in Salem, Mo., and had lived in Topeka 40 years. She had operated a nursing home here 25 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
Mrs. Fuqua is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Pearl McDonald of 427 Topeka, and Mrs. Grace Bradford of 1128 MacVicar; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Scott of 333 Greenwood and Mrs. James Killfoil of Lindsborg; three brothers, Frank Phillips of 1817 Lincoln, E.E. Phillips of Fayetteville, Ark., and William Phillips of Minneapolis, Kan.; three grandchildren, Mrs. Shirley Harrison of Wellsburg, W. Va., Mrs. Gwen Huey of 4001 West Twenty-first and Billy Bradford of 1128 MacVicar.
