Jacob's will, which is on my ancestry.com tree, does include all of his living children. It appears that Alexander was not married at the time of the writing of the will, 27 Jan 1891.
Jacob's will includes reference to a number of properties (homes) and makes a special reference to a "gold-handled cane, presented to me by Christ's Lutheran Church of York PA in the year 1886." He makes special provisions for this cane. Clearly it meant a great deal to him. I wonder if it survived the generations as he intended?
According to the HISTORY OF YORK COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, they had a young daughter Mary Jane (not Lucinda) who died while young and twins who died as infants. At this time I have found no records of such.
Jacob's parents are Jacob Brown and (Mary) Amelia Fisher. His sister, Magdalena "Lena" Sarah Brown is F-G #118632386. Jacob had four brothers and two sisters.
Any researchers of this family please feel free to contact me through the Find-A-Grave link or scparks@ alumni.usc.edu or through F-G messages. It took me years to find this family with the help of others and I am happy to share!
