Reber Joseph Atkins Sr., 71, of Marion, died Tues., Aug. 10, 1971 in a Bristol hospital. He was a retired school teacher in Smyth County.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys Vicars Atkins; a son, Joseph Atkins, Jr., Marion; a sister, Mrs. Mildred French, Marion, and two grandchildren.
Services were held today in Barnett's Funeral Chapel, Marion, by the Rev. Frank Bauman, the Rev. Carl Looney, and the Rev. George Musser. Interment followed in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, near Rural Retreat.
