The funeral of Edgar A Hitchings was held from the residence, 356 York Street, yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The services were conducted by Rev. Stuart Nye Hutchinson, of First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Vincent Davis sang "Sometime We'll Understand". Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. Among the flowers was a wreath from Brotherhood Bible Class, a bunch of roses from the First Presbyterian Sunday School and a gates ajar from colored employees of Mr. Hitchings. The pallbearers were: Honorary- George B. Crow, Frank W. Blake, A. Svenheim, P. A Pebworth, C. F. Hopkins, F. R Cooke: Active- Neal Gilchrist, John Gilchrist, Horace Curdts, William Curdts, R.S. Nutt, Jr., John Chaloner and Stanley Paul.
