Although not unexpected, because she had been in poor health for a long period of time, the death last Sunday morning of Mrs. Sarah White Seeley came as a shock to relatives and her hosts of friends. As in generally known, Mrs. Seeley, as the result of a stroke, which left her partially paralyzed, had been bedfast for nearly four years but had borne her condition with Christian fortitude.

Sarah White Seeley was born at Tuality Plains, Oregon, Dec. 18, 1848, and was 77 years, six months, and two days old at the time of her death.

She was united in marriage to Charles H. Seeley on Sept 10, 1867, and came with her family to Pomeroy in 1881.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the Chapel of the C.M. Mortuary by Dean Laidlow of the Episcopal Church of Pullman.

The alter and the casket were literally banked with beautiful flowers. A silent tribute of the esteem in which Mrs. Seeley was held by those who had known her for so many years.

Members of the Eastern Star Lodge, with which she had been affiliated for many years, attended the body.

Her husband passed away on Sunday morning June 4, 1922.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. M.F. Gose and Mrs. Kate Allen.
