Alfred M. Browne 86, of Washington Court House, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 8,2003 in Fayette Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health the past 1 1/2 years.
Alfred was born May 12, 1917 in Middletown, Ohio, to Alfred Henry Browne and Frieda Martha Moser.
He retired from General Electric in Marine City, Dayton, Ohio in 1979,and was a member of First Baptist Church, Fayette Lodge#107 F&AM for more than 50 years, Commission on aging and had worked for 3 C's Camp in California Company #3507.
In addition to his parents, he is preceeded in death by his second wife, Dorothy L. ( Stevens-Heckert) Browne in 1997; two sisters, Miriam Binegar in 1980, Betty Woodruff on July 7, 2003; one brother David Edwin Browne in 1988.
Alfred is survived by one daughter,
Sharon F. Browne m. Joe Butcher of Washington Court House,Ohio;
One Step-daughter, Dorothy R. (Robert) Jordan of Wilmington, Ohio;
One step-son, Raymond Heckert Sr. of Washington Court House,Ohio;
Grandchildren: Karen S. (Todd-Brown) Hart, Beverly A (Steve) Dailey and Raymond Heckert Jr. all of Washington Court House,Ohio;,
Ron (Regina) Jordan of Martinsville,Ohio
Randy (Beverly) Jordan of Wilmington, Ohio
Robert (Andrea) Jordan of Bloomington;
10 Great-Grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; longtime caregiver and friend, Thelma and Roger Longberry of Washington C.H.; and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, July 11, 2003 in the Wellman-Kinzer Funeral Home with burial to be followed in Washington Cemetary.
