Thomas Roy 'TR' Hicks Jr. of Owensboro, died Sunday July 7, 2013, at his home. T.R. was born Oct. 9, 1921, in West Louisville to the late Thomas Roy Hicks and Addie Wellington Hicks.
He graduated from West Louisville High School. He served in the Army and then the Air Force, in WWII, Korea and three tours in Vietnam. He retired from the Air Force and also retired as a truck driver from the KY State Dept. He enjoyed dancing, playing cards, football, UK basketball and NASCAR. T.R. was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; Ed Hicks, Allen Hicks, Tommy Hicks and six sisters; Margaret Lively, Helen Maher, Pearl Cummings, Imelda Murphy, Alyce Marotta and Betty Chapman.

Internment in Elmwood Cemetery with Military Honors.
