DEATH OF MARSHAL PEETS
Marshal Peets died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Agnes Ruyle, 2 miles south of Gilead. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 1900, after an illness of three weeks; aged 34 years.
Mr. Peets leaves a mother, two sisters, Mrs. Thos. Blackwell and Mrs. Agnes Ruyle, and a wife to mourn his death. He was married to Miss Mary Pence, of Missouri, a little more than three months ago.
The remains were laid to rest in the Dixon cemetery, Nov. 29, 1900, in the presence of a large crowd of sorrowing relatives and friends. To the bereaved relatives, we extend our sympathy.
