No service will be held for B. Ronald Simonis, who died Oct. 1, 1997, at age 70.

Mr. Simonis was born June 17, 1927, in Wapato, Wash. A teacher at Marshall High School, he was chairman of the science department and scholars program. He was named to the math/science phase of President Reagan's excellence in education program. He retired in 1985.

Survivors include his son, Dean of Portland; sisters, Vesta Paul of Yakima and Leona Mefford of Martinville, Ind.; and brothers, Dan of Yakima and Derall G. of Poulsbo, Wash.

Disposition is by cremation. Arrangements are by Bateman's Funeral Home.
