Fifth of nine children born to William Southard (1891-1978) and Flossie Maize Hite (1893-1968). Her parents moved from Dallas County, Missiouri around 1916 and she was born in Roberts County, Texas. She married Raymond Jake Cacy (1913-1998) on September 27,1940. To this union was born one daughter and two sons. Ray was the son of Jacob Harding "Jake" Cacy (1877-1941) and Lucinda Emma "Lucy" Bailey (1873-1959).

Her parents, her husband, his parents, one son, Lance Nyle Cacy (1943-1971), and all but one sibling preceded her in death.



OBITUARY
MONAHANS Hattie Marie Cacy, 93, of Monahans, died Friday, April 5, 2013 in Odessa.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Monahans with Charles Inman officiating. Burial will follow at the Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harkey Funeral Home.

She was born in Miami, Texas.

She was a nurse.

SURVIVORS Son, Stephan Cacy of Monahans; daughter, Sharron Barlen of Monahans; brother, Lawrence Southard of Portersville, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
