Ray was the son of Jacob Harding "Jake" Cacy (1877-1941) and Lucinda Emma "Lucy" Bailey (1873-1959). On September 27, 1940, he married Hattie Marie Southard (1920-2013) the daughter of William Southard (1891-1978) and Flossie Maize Hite (1893-1968). To their union was born three children. His parents and first born son, Lance Nyle Cacy (1943-1971), preceded him in death.

MONAHANS -- Ray Jack Cacy, 84, an oil field worker for Perry R. Bass, died Thursday, March 12, 1998, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Monahans with the Rev. Barry Klempnauer officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
He was born in Oilton, Okla., and was a resident of Monahans for 49 years. He was Baptist.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Marie Cacy of Monahans; son, Stephen Cacy of Lima, Peru; daughter, Sharron Cooper of Monahans; sister, Ethel Martin of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
