CLARENCE LEE FLANAGAN

KINGSVILLE, W. Va. - Clarence Flanagan, 73, a resident of Kingsville community, Rt 2, Coalton, died at 4:25 pm., Tuesday, April 11, in the Memorial General Hospital.

Born March 4, 1899 in Alpena, W. Va., he was the son of Elizabeth J. McBee Flanagan and the late William Flanagan. A daughter and five brothers preceded him in death.

He was united in marriage in 1930 to the former Rosie Rebecca Hamilton, who survives at Rt. 2, Carlton. (sp; Coalton)

Also surviving are four daughters, Miss Betty Flanagan, Clarksburg, W. Va., Mrs. Lucille Spencer, Junior, W. Va., Mrs. Louise Herron, Belington W. Va., and Mrs. Mae Wamsley, Elkins W. Va.; eight sons; Junior, Paul, Amos, Earl, Herbert, Roger, Ray, and Stanley Flanagan, all of Kingsville; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Digman, Ridgeley, W. Va.; and Mrs. Georgia Jankke (sp; Jahnke) Baltimore, Md.; three brothers, Raymond of Elkins, W. Va.; Stewart Fort Ashby, W. Va.; and Paul of Springfield, W. Va.; and 16 grandchildren.

Mr. Flanagan was a retired woodsman and a Methodist by faith.

Services were conducted in the F. E. Runner funeral home by Rev. Meade Nutshell, Parsons. Internment proceeded in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens, Gilman, W. Va.; Saturday, April 15.
