Early Life: Amelia was raised in Rolette County and attended school there. She later moved with her family to Glasgow.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: Amelia met Vern Underwood in Glasgow, Montana. They were married in 1959. and moved to various places before settling and raising their family in Missoula. Amelia devoted her life to loving and raising her family. She loved to garden and looked forward to spring so she could plant her flowers. Amelia had an incredible will and determination to live, and will be greatly missed. Amelia Underwood, a wonderful wife and loving, gentle mother and grandmother, passed away in her sleep surrounded by the love of her family on Feb. 27, 1999, at St. Patrick Hospital. She was 65.
Survived By: Her husband, Vern; son, Roger of Missoula; daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Frank Dana of Missoula; Colleen and Curt Wilson of Missoula; Janice Underwood of Missoula; Bonnie and Ron Briggs of Lolo; and Julie and Brandon Smith of Oregon City, OR; and nine grandchildren, David, Amy and Stormie Dana; Sarina, Cathleen, Curtis and Stephanie Wilson; Bryan Smith and the littlest one, Jordan Underwood.
