Obituary: Gladys Leota Jorstad, 80, of McCallsburg died of cancer Tuesday at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Zearing.
Burial will be at Warren Township Cemetery in McCallsburg.

Mrs. Jorstad was born in Ames and lived in Des Moines 60 years. She retired as an electronics inspector for Bourns Inc. and was a member of the Catholic Church and its Rosary Society and Warren Township Election Board. She had been a volunteer with Bethany Manor Nursing Home in Story City.

Survivors include three sons, Roland Weigel of Ames, Roger Weigel of Murrietta, Calif., and Van Jorstad of Streamwood, Ill.; a daughter, Karol Fitzgerald of Seward, Neb.; a brother; five sisters; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. vigil service.
