1929 Obituary Richfield, Utah
ANOTHER RICHFIELD PIONEER CALLED
News reached here Tuesday of the death of Mrs. Mina B. H. Hansen, widow of Hans Peter Hansen who died at her home in Provo after an illness extending over five months.

With Mrs. Hansen another of the old Richfield pioneers left this mundane sphere. She was born July 11, 1855, in Little Cottonwood Canyon, the daughter of Augustinus and Anna D. Nelson and with her parents came to Richfield in 1864, being among the first settlers in our city. Her parents and she with her brothers and sisters, underwent all the hardships of that time, were driven out by the indians until conquest of and peace with the Redskins made their return possible.

Here she married Hans Peter Hansen and here she spent most of her life. After the death of her husband she moved to Provo some years ago, where she was widely known as the popular hostess of the Utahna gardens.

The survivors are one son, Irving L. Hansen of Provo; three daughters, Mrs. John Hansen of Richfield, Mrs. Walter Christensen and Mrs. J. W. Troxell of Provo; two brothers, J. H. Nelson of Richfield and Leroy Nelson of Salt Lake City; four sisters; Mrs. Chris Christensen, Mrs. Edward Thurber and Mrs. George Callaway of Richfield, and Mrs. Arthur Dormitzer of Los Angeles, and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Provo Thursday afternoon and today the body was brought to Richfield where services will be held in the Third ward chapel Sunday at 11:00 o'clock and interment will take place in the Richfield cemetery.
