BATAVIA GRANGE
April 28 - The hearts of Batavia Grangers are very sad over the death of their Chaplain, Mrs. L. M. Bowers. She was a charter member of Batavia grange and for twenty consecutive years has held the office of chaplain. She very rarely missed a meeting, and her cheerful, helpful presence will be sadly missed. At their meeting Saturday night memorial exercise were held for her and Sundat the fraternal offering of flowers were placed on her grave at Batavia cemetery.
