Mrs. Lyn G. Wallace, 93, of Clearfield, died at her home Saturday, Dec. 14, at 4 a.m.
Born Aug. 7, 1892, in Fairport Harbor, Ohio, she was the daughter of George W. Gallaher and Jesse Mae (McMurray)Gallaher.
Mrs. Wallace was a teacher for 42 years in the Clearfield Area School District and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Clearfield since 1909.
She was the last member of her generation in her family, having been preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald F. Wallace, Sr. in 1963; one brother, James McMurray Gallaher, and one granddaughter, Barbara K. Rogers.
She is survived by three children, Virginia W. Bumbarger of Clearfield; Mrs. Allen (Bette) W. Kenyon, St. Louis, Mo.; Gerald F. Wallace Jr. of Clearfield; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, with the Rev. Earl M. Brooks officiating. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Friends may call at funeral home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and until the hour of services on Wednesday.
