Funeral services are being held at 2:00 p.m., today, Sept. 4, 1969 at Hengstler Funeral Home in Niobrara for Gus McKenna, 83, who passes away Sunday evening August 31, 1969 at the home his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hill. He had been ill for several months. A native of Iowa he moved to Knox county in 1918 from Antelope county and to the Niobrara community in 1953. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Inez) Hill of Niobrara; two sons, James of Fort Thompson, S.D., and LaVern of Lovelock, Nevada; also four sisters, two brothers, other relatives and friends. Interment will be in the Neligh cemetery.
