Hazel Viola Scroggins was born in Tigertown, Texas. She was the 11th child of James Samuel and Iva Lena McFarland. She married Walter Densler on January 6, 1926 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Together they had a son, Jack Duane Densler.

Mrs. Charles (Hazel) Ulin, 1734 W. 9th. Died Dec. 29 in a local hospital. Had been employed by John Morrell & Co. since 1941. Married Jan. 9, 1942 at Irene. Services were held Jan. 2, 2 pm., at Benz Memorial Chapel. Interment was in Woodlawn. Survived by her husband; 1 son, Jack D. Densler, Sioux City, Ia. 3 brothers: Stelring Scroggins, Sheboygan Falls, Wis.; Dugan Scroggins, Mabank, Tex.; Jack Scroggins, Lead; 5 sisters: Prudie Jackson, Vancouver, Wash.; Iva Knight, Denver, Cool.; Vanye Jordan, Newark, N.J.; Loma Patton, ?Leadville, Colo.; Beatrice Boswell, Ridgefield, Wash.; 2 grandsons: Jack Dwane Densler Jr., Joseph Rober Densler, both of Sioux Falls; 1 step-daughter, Mrs. Guy Steely, Spencer, Ia.
