Stanley C. Ziemer, 90, Peachtree City, Georgia, passed away on June 4, 2013. Mr. Ziemer was born on May 26, 1923 in Illinois. He was the son of the late Margaret H. Ziemer. Mr. Ziemer enlisted in the U.S. Army on February 3, 1943 in Peoria, Illinois serving in World War II and Korean Conflict. Before the Army, he was a draftsman. Later Mr. Ziemer was a contract architect for the U.S. Postal Service. He married his first wife, Esther Cook Ziemer, on September 18, 1950 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. He was a member of the Fayetteville Barber Shop Chorus.

Mr. Ziemer is survived by his wife, Lucile Ziemer of Peachtree City; daughter, Diane (Larry) Rogers of Fayetteville; sons, Dr. David C. (Dorothy) Ziemer of Decatur, GA, Henry P. Ziemer of Houston, Texas, Alan (Lori) Allrid of Greensboro, GA and Thomas (Teresa) Allrid of Ormond Beach, Florida; granddaughter, Hannah Alise Rogers of Fayetteville; sisters, Gloria Vyhnalek of San Fernando Valley, California and Wanda Tracy of Austin, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service held Saturday, June 8 in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City, with Reverend Hugh Kirby officiating. Burial at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, in charge of arrangements.
