Skilled Stone Mason Passes Away At Age 75, Tuesday Afternoon

Funeral Service for Levi Rodeen, who died about 4:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, will be held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Tudor on South Cass street Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. Richard D. Wearne will officiate, and burial will be made at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Rodeen died at his home on North Mechanic street, where he had been in poor health for several months, his condition becoming critical a few weeks ago.
Mr. Rodeen was one of the best stone masons in this section, the handsome Soldiers' memorial in the village park erected after the recent war, standing likewise as a lasting memorial to his own skill he having taken great care and pride in its construction.
Born in Sweden, Feb. 9, 1855, Mr. Rodeen came to this country at the age of 17. For the past 12 years he and his wife had made their home in the village.
Beside his widow, he leaves three children. Charles Rodeen of Minneapolis; Mrs. Helen Weaver of Buchanan, and Mrs. Lottie Tudor of Berrien Springs. Charles Rodeen was a former school superintendent in Baroda, and was called here several weeks ago.
