Monday the 31st, Aug, Dr. Harring and Tutton, of Eau Claire, amputated a limb below the knee for the wife of Levi Rodeen, of Berrien Springs. She died Sept. 2, and was buried at Maple Grove cemetery Friday afternoon. Funeral sermon by a clergyman of South Bend, Ind., Mr. Rodeen is an honored and trusty employee of the C.W. & M. and has the sympathy of the community in his bereavement. P.S. the limb was taken off as a last resort.
